    DYSA Challenge Cup
    NEW THIS YEAR!

    DYSA will offer U9 to U19 boys and girls travel teams the opportunity to participate in the First Annual DYSA Challenge Cup. This event is for teams wishing to play other registered DYSA travel teams in a tournament setting. Winners will be crowned DYSA State Champs. Teams will not advance to the US Youth East Region National Championship Series. This event will end at the state level.

    Teams U9-U19 for both boys and girls may enter the competition.

    APPLICATION FEE: The cost to enter is $400 per team. A bond of $250 per team is also required.

    TEAM ELIGIBILITY: Teams must be registered with DYSA by April 1st for U12 thru U19 age groups of the current competition year and in good standing. All teams (except U19) must compete in at least a 4-team approved league flight during the current seasonal year in a US Youth Soccer affiliated league. The league competition must consist of a minimum of one game against 3 different teams participating in the league. Teams must consist of 50% Delaware residents (college students qualify if they live in Delaware).

    ROSTERS: Rosters for teams participating in the Delaware Youth Challenge Cup will freeze 7 days before the age groups first game

    GUEST PLAYERS: Guest players are not permitted on any teams participating in the Delaware Youth Soccer Challenge Cup.

    FORFEIT FEES: Teams are expected to play and complete all scheduled matches. Scheduled matches not played are subject to a fine of $250 per game and full referee fees. Any team forfeiting a game will be fined $250 per gamed and full referee fees.

    REGISTRATION: Opens Feb 5

    REGISTRATION DEADLINE: April 15, however, if no teams are registered in an age group by March 31, the age group will be canceled

    GAME AVAILABILITY: All teams must make themselves available for May 18 & 19.

    FINES: Teams that participate in the Delaware Youth Soccer Challenge Cup are subject to fines if they withdraw from the tournament.

    TEAM REGISTRATION: All teams must register prior to their first game. Registrations will only be accepted electronically. All teams must email a copy of the Team Information Sheet (Available Here), copy of team's roster and a copy the printed player cards for each member of the team including coaches and manager. When emailing the information for the Delaware Youth Soccer Challenge Cup, please note that passes must be laminated. We will not accept a copy of the PDF file from the database. Passes that are not printed correctly, will be returned, so they can be reprinted. Please send all documents as one PDF file to Laura Sturdivant, Executive Director, at executivedirector@dysa.org

    INELIGIBLE PLAYERS: If a coach plays an ineligible player, the team will be declared ineligible and all games played will be forfeited. If you are not sure if any of your players received any red cards, it is your responsibility to check with the Delaware Challenge Cup Committee.

    WITHDRAWL AND FORFEITS: All registered teams may withdraw from the Delaware Youth Soccer Challenge Cup and receive a refund (minus credit card fees) until the posted registration deadline. A withdraw after this date will result in a forfeiture of the entry fee and bond.
    Teams forfeiting games during the competition for any reason will be subject to a $250 fine per game forfeited and full referee fees. The registration fee and bond fee will also be forfeited.
